The Spirits of Mexico Awards Dinner features a tasting reception and dinner followed by an awards ceremony and live auction. Brands winning the 2012 Best of Show and Best of Category Awards will be announced for the first time in the U.S.

Discover and savour a wide variety of agave spirits during the tasting reception, whilst you meet with  master distillers, blenders and brand ambassadors who will be happy to share their knowledge and expertise.

Emmy-Award Winning Mark DeCarlo is the Master of Ceremonies at the Spirits of Mexico Awards Dinner & Live Auction. Mark DeCarlo is the comedic host on ABC’s WINDY CITY LIVE, which premiered in May 2011 in Oprah Winfrey’s historic time slot. He has also been the host of the Travel Channel’s 'TASTE OF AMERICA WITH MARK DECARLO'. Mark will also be signing copies of his book A Fork on the Road: 400 Cities 1 Stomach on Saturday 15 May at the Spirits of Mexico Main Tasting Event at the McCoy Garden Courtyard, San Diego Old Town.

The Awards Dinner will feature a specially designed menu which will include cuisine infused with participating sponsored agave spirits prepared by Chef Jose Pulido and his team. Join us and meet celebrated authors, master distillers/blenders, historians, columnists, television and radio personalities, aficionados and agave enthusiasts.

During the live auction you’ll have a chance to bid on rare and treasured special bottlings, generously donated by our evening’s sponsors. All auction proceeds benefit the Sky Ranch Foundation, which is now in its 52nd year of giving kids a second chance.
