San Diego Tasting Competition 2012 September 10 & 11, 2012 Our 6th Annual Spirits of Mexico Tasting Competition takes place on September 10 and 11. Internationally recognized industry experts, in a blind tasting, will select which brands will be awarded the coveted 2012 Spirits of Mexico Medals. Please note that this is not a public event. Brands are judged on five essential characteristics: appearance, aromatics, flavor, mouthfeel and finish. Each of these subsets has varying ultimate scores, with aromatics and flavor scoring the highest possible points. Scores are then tabulated by the competition co-hosts, Jack Robertiello and Robert Plotkin.
